Charles F. Bloom, Sr., 86, of Curwensville died on Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
He was born on April 22, 1920 in Clearfield, a son of the late David L. and Louise (Bunchko) Bloom.
Mr. Bloom was employed in the strip mines.
He is survived by three children, C. Fred Bloom and wife Tina of Curwensville, Bill Bloom and wife Judie of McKeesport, Mildred L. Dixon and husband Alvin of TX; thirteen grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Hart of Seneca.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian (Condon) Bloom, a son Jerry Bloom and two brothers and three sisters, Clifford Bloom and David L. Bloom, Jr., Betty Lyons, Gladys Erskine and Hazel McCue.
At Mr. Blooms request, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
