Charles W. 'Tim' Timko, 88, of Clearfield died on Saturday, November 30, 2013 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
He was born on November 11, 1925 in Boardman, a son of the late Michael and Julia (Krysa) Timko.
He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and also a member of the American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6, Clearfield.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Timko served with the U. S. Army.
He is survived by a son, Timothy Timko and wife Lynnette of Clearfield; two grandchildren, Josselyn and Jared Timko; a great granddaughter, Kaleia; and a brother, Metro Timko and wife Nancy of Houtzdale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanetta (Lanager) Timko on August 3, 1999 and whom he wed May 21, 1949 in Ramey; two sisters, Ann Washburn and Margaret Timko; and four brothers, George, Michael, Andrew and John Timko.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 10 AM with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
At the request of Mr. Timko, there will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Second Street, Clearfield.
