Charlotte E. Freeman, 96, of Ansonville, formerly of Clearfield, died on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 2, 1916 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Merrell and Anna (Conaway) Condon.
Mrs. Freeman was employed at G.C. Murphy's, Clearfield for 10 years, but spent most of her life as a homemaker.
She is survived by two children Marlin Freeman and wife Shirley of Olanta and Marylee Strong and husband Duane of Ansonville; four grandchildren Marlin E. Freeman and wife Kathy of Ramey, Mark Freeman and wife Alicia of Luthersburg, Valerie Hooven and husband Jerry of Olanta and Amy Cutler and husband Joseph of Ansonville; eight great grandchildren; eight great great grandchildren; and two sisters Violetta Beamer Clark of Frisco, TX and Faye Shaffer of Ansonville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry V. 'Hank' Freeman on September 6, 1991 and whom she wed July 4, 1936. She was also preceded in death by six sisters, Marie O. Anderson, Beryl Lucas, Evelyn Condon, Gloria Jean Condon, LaRue Sturgill and Joy Wright; and four brothers Robert, Lester, Gerald and Howard Condon.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11 AM with Rev. Richard Engle, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 PM and on Friday from 10-11 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Zion Baptist Church, 12004 Tyrone Pike, Irvona, PA 16656 or to the First Baptist Church, 111 N. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
