Christian Gidney

Christian James Gidney, 27, went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2023 in his hometown of Clearfield, PA.

He had a heart that was unmatched with a smile and laugh that lit up any room. "There is nothing more beautiful than someone who goes out of their way to make life beautiful for others." Christian thought of others well before he thought of himself, showing his true selflessness. His love for God showed through him like a ray of light, and he had no shame sharing God's words to others.

Christian proudly worked in Pallet Re-Claim at Penn Pallet for the last 6 years. He loved to sing and listen to his favorite songs on repeat. He was very competitive in any sport or game that he played. His family meant the world to him, along with his cat, Shego, who was his pride and joy.

He was born on February 11, 1996 in Clearfield, a son of Brian James Gidney and Amy Sue Hoyt.

In addition to his parents, Christian is survived by his sister, Callie Greishaw and husband AJ; his nephew, Weston Greishaw; his beloved companion, Taylor Smith; his grandparents, Robert and Connie Hoyt; two aunts, Tammy Hoyt and Ginny Anderson; an uncle, Brad Jones; and six cousins, Jenna Liegey, Megan Hoyt and significant other Josh Wilson, Airian Hoyt, Miranda Jones, Boston Samsel, and Maddix Samsel.

He was also preceded in death by an aunt, Bobbi Jo Jones.

A memorial service will be held at the Clearfield Alliance Church on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 2 PM with Pastor Anthony Caiola officiating.

Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 1-2 PM at the church.

Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
