Clair C. Williams, 94, of Clearfield died on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Graystone Court Villas, Clearfield.
He was born on August 27, 1924 in Bigler, a son of the late Clark N. and Lena (Wisor) Williams.
Mr. Williams retired from Crescent Brick Co., Inc. in 1990 after more than twenty five years of service. Prior to that he was employed by Harbison Walker Refractories in Mineral Springs.
He had attended the Clearfield Alliance Church. A veteran of the US Army from 1943-1946, he served in the European Theatre.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Jean (Price) Williams whom he wed February 6, 1947 in Clearfield; three children, Debra A. Heyer and husband Richard of Pembroke Pines, FL, Gerald E. Williams and wife Deborah of Pittsburgh, and Daryl C. Williams and wife Nancy of Altoona; four grandchildren, Jama Kyle and husband Dave, Evan Williams, Danielle Williams, and Alli Williams; three great grandchildren, Ashley, Ryan and Lexi Kyle; and sisters, Geneva Snyder of Clearfield, Maxine Owens of Woodland, Marjorie Smeal of Clearfield, and Patricia Wallace of Clearfield.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David A. Williams; a sister, Faye English; a brother, Marvin Williams; and an infant brother, Carl Williams.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11 AM with Rev. Robert Goldenberg officiating. Interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Military honors will be accorded at funeral home by the Clearfield Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11 AM.
