Clara Ardary

Clara V. Ardary , 97, of Clearfield passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015.
She was born on March 19, 1918 in Grampian, a daughter of the late Steve J. and Theresa (Smith) Lash.
Mrs. Ardary was a devoted homemaker who worked hard at raising her family. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, attending church functions and had a special love of animals.
She was a life-time member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was also a former member of the Lawrence Township Fire Department Auxiliary.
She is survived by three children, Barbara Emerson of Griffin, GA, Charles 'Charlie' Ardary of Curwensville and Virginia Grice and Tom of Clearfield; seven grandchildren, Dick Carr, Billy Carr, Steve Tobias, Andy Bowman and wife Terri, Lynette Brooks, Sherri Gaines and husband Clayton and Tom Grice and wife Leslie; numerous great grandchildren; and two step-children, Mona Lenhart and husband Richard of Clearfield and Donald Ardary and wife Dallis of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde W. 'Bill' Ardary on September 18, 2004 and whom she wed November 18, 1939. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Thomas and Helen McKenna; and a brother Francis Lash.
A funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family; however, a mass will be said in memory of Mrs. Ardary at a later date.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield or to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 275, 21st Street, Clearfield.
