Clarabell Stewart

November 25, 1921 — September 3, 2008

Clarabell Stewart, 86 of Curwensville died on Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on November 25, 1921 in Milton, a daughter of the late Walter and Nettie (Dorsey) Johnson.

Mrs. Stewart was employed at the former Kent Sportswear of Curwensville.

She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Clearfield. She also had served as Secretary-Treasurer of the Curwensville Little League Association as well as the Curwensville All Sports Club.

She is survived by six children; Frances Henry of Detroit, MI, Patricia Stewart of Hollidaysburg, Richard Stewart of Fleetwood, Ronald 'Fish' Stewart of Niagara Falls, NY, Dennis 'Bibby' Stewart and fiance Andrea Jacobs of Curwensville, Donald 'Bear' Stewart Curwensville.

She is also survived by six grandchildren; Ryan Stewart and wife Tracy, Brett and Ronda Stewart, Tracey Arturo and husband Roger Fischer, Tonja Henry, Trina Moore and husband Anthony Sr. and seven great grandchildren.

Also surviving is a sister and a brother; Virginia Jones and husband Charles of Milton and James Johnson of Bloomsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Helen Guinn-Bailey and two brothers Walter and Robert Johnson.

Funeral services will be held at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Tony S. Searles officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 PM and at the church on Wednesday from 10-11 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Glad Tidings Assembly of God, P.O. Box 704, Clearfield PA 16830 or Rescue Hose and Ladder, Co., 417 Filbert Street, Curwensville PA 16833.
