Clyde L. Nicholson, 70
of Olanta died on Saturday, December 14, 2002 at James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona.
He was born on October 23, 1932 in Grampian, PA, a son of the late Clyde and Anna LaRue (Beck) Nicholson, Sr.
Mr. Nicholson was employed in the strip mines for over thirty years and also worked as truck driver.
He served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by three children,
David A. Nicholson Olanta
Richard L. Nicholson Houtzdale
Jeannette Morgan Olanta
five grandchildren,
two sisters,
Jane Nicholson Hyde
Maude Johnston Clearfield
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann (Jones) Nicholson on January 18, 2002 and whom he married October 8, 1954 in Presbyterian Church Parsonage in Clearfield.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services.
The Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
