Cora M. (Kanouff) Butler, 68, of Clearfield died on Friday, December 10, 2021 at her home.
She was born on January 27, 1953 in Shawville, a daughter of the late George W. and Erma (Moore) Kanouff.
Mrs. Butler was employed at the former Clearfield Cheese Company, Curwensville.
She was very involved with the activities held at the Henry E. Myers High Rise. She was also a member of the Clearfield Jefferson Wellness and Recovery Center/ Dickinson Center Inc., and enjoyed crafts, watching movies, writing poems and other various activities. She enjoyed spending time with her grand-dog, Bodhi, as well. Cora will be remembered for her positive personality, seeing the silver lining in all situations, and always being prepared with a good joke or sense of humor!
Mrs. Butler had attended the Hyde Wesleyan Church and also served with the U. S. Army.
She is survived by her husband, Stuart Butler of Clearfield; a daughter, Nicole Hoppe of Clearfield; a granddaughter, Sage Hoppe; sisters, Mary Conklin of Altoona, Belinda Dixon of Glen Campbell, Patricia LaBorde and husband Cris of Rockton, Elaine Kelly of DuBois, and Mona Hale of Bloomington; three step children; a step grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Michael Killeen; and a brother, George Kanouff Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Tuesday at 4 PM with Pastor Stevan Sheets officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Olanta.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 1-4 PM.
