Dalma Larue NicholsonLondon, 88, of Grampian died on Wednesday, June 7, 2023 at the Ridgeview Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on March 14, 1935 in Grampian, a daughter of the late Burton and Louella (Mahlon) Seger
Dalma was a hard worker who lived a full life dedicated to family, friends, and faith. She was a machine operator at the former Clearfield Cheese until its closing, and later retired from American Home Foods. She was an avid traveler with an exuberant spirit. Dalma will be remembered as a doting Grammy, a loyal friend, and a generous giver of afghans. She was renowned in the community for her peanut butter fudge.
She was a member of Cherry Corner Bible Church where she served the Lord through teaching children’s classes, helping with events, and sending cards. She was a prayer warrior and devoted her mornings to reading her Bible.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Whitaker and husband Martin, Wanda McCall and husband Randy, William Henry Nicholson Jr. and wife Julie, Charles Lynn Nicholson and wife Susan; a step daughter, Lea Ann Simmons and husband Anthony; 12 grandchildren, Sean Whitaker, Doriann Lavery, Talisa Dimmick, Cara Ciamacco, Janessa McCombie, Heather Wills, Tanya Shaw, Stefanie Krasovich, Mark Nicholson, Scott Nicholson, Morgan Nicholson, and Wade Nicholson; 22 great-grandchildren; a brother, James Seger and wife Eunice; a sister, Sharon Fiegel and husband Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Henry Nicholson, Sr., and second husband, William Guy London; two great-grandchildren, Henry Whitaker and Grace Dimmick; two brothers, Samuel Seger, and Richard Seger; and a sister, Violet 'Jean' Porschet.
Funeral services will be held at the Cherry Corner Bible Church, Curwensville on Saturday. June 10, 2023 at 11 AM with Pastor George W. Solley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Friday, June 9, 2023 from 4-7 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10-11 AM.
