of Kerr Addition, RD#1, Clearfield died on Tuesday, June 18, 2002 at his residence.
He was born on December 14, 1925 in Clearfield, PA, a son of the late Lee and Genevieve (Whitesell) Peoples.
Mr. Peoples retired as a superintendent from Bethlehem Steel after twenty-seven years of service.
He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church of Clearfield, the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1785 of Clearfield and the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post #6.
A veteran of the US Army, he served during World War II.
He is survived by one brother and four sisters,

Elsie W. Peoples Clearfield
Olive Haney Clearfield
Jean Broad DuBois
Doris Ann Raab and husband Carl Clearfield
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Eva M. (Hand) Peoples, on July 16, 2000 and whom he married May 9, 1953 in Clearfield, two brothers Clifford Peoples and Wendell Peoples and a sister Velma Haney.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at
11:00 A.M. with Mr. Richard B. Barkley officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, RD#3, Clearfield.
Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Friday from
10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
