David R. Aitchison, 86, of Clearfield died on Sunday, May 8, 2011 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on July 16, 1924 in Glasgow, Scotland.
Mr. Aitchison was employed in the External Affairs Department of the Canadian Government, based in Ottawa, Canada. Previously, he worked in various management positions with British Steel in Manchester, England.
He is survived by his wife, Carole (Natoli) Aitchison, whom he wed October 10, 1987 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield; a daughter, Laura Aitchison Wells of Toronto, Canada; and a sister, Doris Gordon of the United Kingdom.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.
A blessing service will be held at the convenience of the family with Msgr. Henry L. Krebs officiating. Entombment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from 6-8:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 South Front Street, Clearfield.
