David B. 'Dave' Howard, 67, of Clearfield and formerly of Jeannette died on Monday, March 25, 2013 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born on July 18, 1945 in Greensburg, a son of the late Floyd and Bette (Samuels) Howard.
Dave owned H & R Block in Clearfield, Philipsburg and Curwensville for 43 years. Earlier in his life he had worked as a Disc Jockey in Corry and Jamestown, NY. Dave had a love of music and movies and enjoyed acting in many of the CAST plays over the years.
Dave served with the U.S. Army, touring in Korea during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by a daughter Kerri Miller of Clearfield; two sons, Stephen Howard and Andrew Howard, both of Clearfield; a grandson, Everett Miller; a step-son, Jason Holencik of Clearfield; a brother, John Howard of Jeannette; a nephew and two nieces, Matthew, Amy and Nikki; a great aunt, Marg Oplinger of Greensburg; and former spouses, Linda Starr, Nancy Aughenbaugh and Tracy Howard.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday at 8:00 pm.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, from 2 - 4 pm and 6 - 8 pm.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 275 21st Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 .
