David R. Myers, 78, of Clearfield died on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
He was born on July 20, 1944 in Sturgis, MI, a son of the late Raymond and Vera (Hostetler) Myers.
David's whole career span was spent around the railroad industry. He started at the age of 18 with the BandO Railroad and then was employed with the Wabash Railroad. After that, David worked for the Norfolk Western Railroad and then retired as the Road Foreman of Engines with the Norfolk Southern Railroad.
He is survived by two children, April Johnson husband John of Grampian, and David Myers of Mansfield, OH; five grandchildren, Tyler Windsor, Trevor Windsor, Jacob Myers, Hunter Johnson and Conor Johnson; five great grandchildren, Nathan Windsor, Ryan Windsor, Benjamin Windsor, Corbyn Johnson and Clara Johnson; and a brother, Ronnie Myers of Battle Creek, MI.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou (Buttrum) Myers in 2005. They were married for 39 years. He was also preceded in death by daughter, Darla Myers.
All services will be private. Burial will be in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.
