Delores A. Zwolski, 79, of Curwensville, a guest of Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016.
She was born on October 5, 1936 in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Hilary A. and Grace M. (Plubell) Bergey.
Mrs. Zwolski retired in 1991 from the Curwensville Area School District where she was employed in the cafeteria for 16 years. She was very active with the Wednesday morning craft sessions at the Curwensville Civic Center and enjoyed crocheting and canning vegetables. She was also an Avon salesperson for 33 years and a member of St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville.
She is survived by three children, Edward Zwolski Jr. and wife Susan of Clearfield, Catherine Shope of Lock Haven and Barbara Johnson and husband Michael of Grampian; five grandchildren whom she adored dearly, Amanda Creek and husband Bill of Curwensville, Michael Zwolski of Clearfield, Matthew Shope of Lock Haven, Vanessa Snyder and husband Kevin of Grampian and Rebecca Johnson of Grampian; three great grandsons who were the love of her life; Eli, Isaiah and Xavier Creek; a brother Stanley Bergey and wife Virginia of Morrisdale; a sister, Annette Hugney of Philipsburg; two brothers-in-law, James Zwolski and wife Jackie of Curwensville and James Anderson of Clearfield; three sisters-in-law, Pauline Bergey of Clearfield, Rindy Bergey of Clearfield and Katherine Zwolski of Curwensville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Zwolski Sr. on January 2, 2012 and whom she wed September 15, 1956 in St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Burton, James Sr., Robert and Frank Bergey; and two sisters, Donna Anderson and Jean Agnes Bergey.
Mass of Christian burial will be said at the St. Timothy Catholic Church, Curwensville, on Saturday at 10 AM with Father Mark J. Mastrian as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Friday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM and on Saturday from 9-9:30 AM.
At the funeral home on Friday, the Rosary will be recited at 3:30 PM and the Vigil Service will be held at 7:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Timothy Catholic Church, 306 Walnut Street, Curwensville.
