Donald L. Butler, 66, of Treasure Lake, formerly of Clearfield and Selinsgrove Center, died on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
He was born on April 17, 1952 in Clearfield, a son of the late William D. Sr. and Mary (Lightner) Butler.
Don enjoyed many things in life, from cats and dogs, fishing or putting puzzles together. He also enjoyed singing and dancing to music. Don was very much a 'people person' who was always very friendly to everyone and tried to help anyone who needed. He even famously portrayed Santa for the Lakeshore Community Services annual Christmas party.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by four siblings, William D. Butler, Jr. of Clearfield, Richard G. Butler and wife Betsy of Clearfield, Joy A. Lhota and husband Rick of Clearfield, and Thomas A. Butler and wife Debbie of Clearfield; and nine niece and nephews, Zachary Butler, Ethan Lott, Joanna Lott, Nathaniel Butler, Jordan Butler, Tyler Butler, Rachel Grahamslaw, John Lhota, and Sarah Proudfit.
Funeral services will be held at the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield on Thursday at 11 AM with Rev. Robert J. Way officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Joy Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday from 4-7 PM and at the church on Thursday from 10-11 AM.
