Donald H. Bullet Lynch, 87
of 152 Anderson Avenue, Curwensville died on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
He was born on April 27, 1915 in Clearfield, PA, a son of the late Nelson and Flora (Barnett) Lynch.
Mr. Lynch was a self-employed truck driver having driven for Clearfield Cheese, in which he was a partner in the trucking department. He also drove for Yeager Trucking, Brown Brothers and Butler Trucking, retiring in 1985.
He was a graduate of Clearfield High School, a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church, the Golden Bison Association and was an avid fisherman and bowler.
He served in the US Army during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Leora J. (Stewart) Lynch, whom he married October 12, 1941 in Dillon, SC
three children,
Barbara Taylor and her husband, Nathaniel NJ
Joyce Diggs and her husband Philip Michigan City, IN
Paul Lynch and wife Martha Clearfield
14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandson
a sister,
Lorraine Chandler Indianapolis, IN
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Terry Lynch, a granddaughter, Anitra Diggs, a stepson, Gordon Stewart, brothers Stanley Lynch, LeRoy Lynch, Carl Lynch and sisters Elizabeth Murphy, Bernice Lynch.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday at
11:00 AM with Rev. Arlene P. Beechert officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Military honors will be accorded by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Posts.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2 4 and 6 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10 11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Curwensville United Methodist Church, 602 State Street, Curwensville or charity of one's choice.
