Donald A. Zorger, 77, of Grampian died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010.
He was born on March 15, 1932 in Akron, OH, a son of the late Adrian and Margaret (Johnston) Zorger.
Mr. Zorger was employed as a mechanic for Brown Brothers and Pearless Transport, both of Clearfield; Drexl Pentz Coal, Grampian and Ruskin Dressler Coal, DuBois. He then became a self-employed owner and operator of Zorger Trucking, Grampian. He also owned Camp Corbly and the Chest Falls Campgrounds.
He was a member of the Hepburnia United Methodist Church and the Grampians Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Alma (Leach) Zorger, whom he wed October 1, 1960; two sons, Denny Zorger and his wife, Janet, of Mahaffey and Troy Zorger and his wife, Deann, of Grampian; two grandchildren, Casey and Jesse Zorger of Grampian; a step granddaughter, Heather Burkhurd and her husband, Richard, of Cordova, TN; a brother and twin sister, Glenn Zorger and his wife, Myrtle, of Grampian and Virginia Wilson of Bells Landing; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Sunday at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Emmett Anderson officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Sunday from 12-2 PM.
The Grampian Lions Club will hold a memorial service at the funeral home on Saturday at 7 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hepburnia United Methodist Church, PO Box 175, Grampian.
