Donna E. McCartney, 69
of Clearfield died on Friday, December 16, 2016 at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born on March 13, 1947 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Ted and Iva Bell (Barrett) Swatsworth.
Donna was a homemaker, devoting her life to raising her children and grandchildren. She also loved animals and always had a pet dog. She collected antiques, played bingo and enjoyed exercise.
She is survived by her husband Thomas; four children, Thomas McCartney of Middleton, ID, Tracy McCartney of Clearfield, Tina McCartney of DuBois, Trudy McCartney of Clearfield; fifteen grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers and three sisters, Bud Swatsworth of Clearfield, Ted Swatsworth of Glen Richey, Shirley Johnson of Allport, Sandy Burke and Mary Ida Tubbs, both of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Troy McCartney; three sisters and a brother, Doris Haag, Jo Ann Ogden, June Wisor and Ronald Swatsworth.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 - 12 pm.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
