Doris E. Kinkead, 86, of Clearfield died on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on April 22, 1920 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Robert and Sarah (Sones) Swisher.
Mrs. Kinkead was a homemaker and skilled in sewing, crocheting and gardening.
She was a member of Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, Clearfield where she was a member of the choir and taught Bible school for many years.
Mrs. Kinkead was a volunteer for the American Cancer Society and the American Heart Association.
She was known in the community as "Mom Mom" and will be remembered for her coconut cream pies, pancakes and home made syrup.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. Cutler and husband Willard of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Lauren Francisco and husband Michael of Clearfield, Michelle Anderson and husband Ed of Clearfield, Willard Cutler, Jr. and friend Dana Jarrett of Houtzdale, Wade Cutler and friend Kelly Hockenberry of Duncannon, Megan Bergman and husband Dana of Quincy, MI and Kelly Bietz and husband Robert of Clearfield; nine great grandchildren, Joshua Francisco, Jenna Francisco, Cameron Cutler, Cassidy Cutler, Alli Cutler, Preslie Bergman, Payten Bergman, Chase Bietz, and Karli Bietz;
and a sister, Betty Tylwalk of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard G. Kinkead on August 18, 1975 and whom she wed April 22, 1938, two sons Clarence Kinkead and Richard Kinkead, Jr., a twin sister Dorcas McBride, two sisters, Beverly Duckett and Elda Mae Gearhart and two brothers, Ronald Swisher and John Swisher.
Funeral services will be held at the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and at the church on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kerr Addition United Methodist Church,
