Dorothy Ruch Wilson, 80, of Clearfield died on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Presbyterian Hospital.
She was born on December 18, 1925 in Cleveland, OH, a daughter of the late Paul E. and Mae (Bryan) Ruch.
A 1943 graduate of Clearfield High School, she attended Grove City College. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Wilson also served as an RSVP volunteer at the Clearfield Hospital and was a board member of the Clearfield County Historical Society, where she did genealogy work.
She is survived by two children, Hank Wilson and wife Betsy of Clearfield, and Janice Hawkins and husband Paul of Curwensville;
four grandchildren, Christina Hawkins, Joseph Hawkins, Reese Wilson and Haley Wilson; and a sister, Paula (Ruch) Bonner and husband David of Hendersonville, NC.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold A. Wilson, Sr. on February 3, 2005 and whom she married June 8, 1949 in Clearfield.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. with Mr. Richard B. Barkley officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield County Historical Society, 104 East Pine Street, Clearfield.
