Dorothy J. Young-Morris, 94, of Woodland passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023 at her home.
She was born on August 3, 1929 in Morgan Run, a daughter of the late Arthur and Grace (Richards) Phillips.
Dorothy worked at various factories then later worked at the former W.T. Grant. She then managed Dairy Queen for many years before retiring from Bradford Township as a secretary.
She loved to shop and spend time with her family, and especially loved going shopping with her family. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers.
Dorothy was a world traveler and visited many different destinations. She kissed the Blarney Stone, kissed a giraffe, and stood along the Equator with four layers of clothes on because she was still cold.
She was an active member of the Lake Street United Methodist Church
She is survived by her children, Robert 'Bob' Young and wife Sue of Clearfield, Rev. Thomas Young and wife Connie of Frenchville, Tammy Young and partner Pam of Clearfield, Dan Morris and wife Joyce of Woodland, and Amy Good and husband Ronald of Woodland; grandchildren, Tommy Young, Christopher Young, Jill Hartman, Amanda Young, Ashley Young, Holly Snyder, Rhonda Good, Cheryl Welker, Raymond Good, Donna Wisor, and Allen Good; many great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister; and a beloved, great-grand dog, Charley.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Young on January 22, 1982 and her second husband, Cecil E. Morris on December 24, 2011. She was also preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters.
Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield is in charge of the arrangements.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
