Dr. Gerald L. Hawk, 59
of Penfield died on Monday, June 9, 2003 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.
He was born on March 16, 1944 in Penfield, a son of the late Herbert D. and Lillian C. (Keller) Hawk.
Dr. Hawk was President of Phoenix Group, which he established in 1989, Vice President of Cardinal Investment Company, Vice President of Marketing for the Zymark Corporation International and International Director of Millport-Waters. He graduated in 1962 from Montoursville High School, received his bachelor of science degree from Lycoming College in Williamsport, his masters degree and his Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Connecticut.
He was a member of the American Association for Advancement of Science, American Society for Microbiology, American Society for Clinical Chemist and was involved in robotics and the development of neo-natal health care advancement.
He is survived by a brother,
Ernest P. Hawk Palm Coast, FL
an aunt,
Jessie Marie Taylor Penfield
two nieces,
and resided with Russell and Connie Mason.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 22, 2003 at the Penfield United Methodist Church.
