E. Jane Kinkead, 88
formerly of Clearfield and most recently a resident of the Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, MD died on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Asbury Methodist Village.
She was born on January 10, 1915 in Penfield, PA, a daughter of the late John C. and Mary E. (Flynn) McKissick.
Mrs. Kinkead was employed as an administrator of Patient and Nursing Services for most of her professional life.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, a 1932 graduate of Huston Township High School, Penfield and a 1936 graduate of the former Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing. She also graduated from Duquesne University and Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Sigma Theta Tau, the National Honor Society of Nursing, Clearfield Hospital Alumna Association and the Clearfield Hospital Auxiliary. Also the Sports Hall of Fame, Parents Anonymous of Clearfield County, Inc., and was a charter member of the American Association of Retired Persons.
She is survived by four children,

Alan R. Kinkead Huntsville, AL
Joan Kinkead McNally Laurel, MD
eight grandchildren,
Laura Kinkead Staley, Kevin and Todd Kinkead, Michael and Ellen Scotch, Chris McNally and Lowell Ivy and Merideth Ivy Hazen.

two sisters,

Joann Georgino Penfield
and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David C. Kinkead, Sr. on
April 27, 1995 and whom she married March 17, 1939 in Clearfield and two brothers Robert C. McKissick, and William P. McKissick.
A Memorial Mass will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at
10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Saint Francis Educational Endowment Fund , 212 South Front Street, Clearfield PA 16830
