E. Nadine Nebgen, 85 of Clearfield died on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at Ridgeview Elder Care Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
She was born on March 5, 1923 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late John and Carrie (Burns) Ruffner.
Mrs. Nebgen retired from D&M Manufacturer, Osceola Mills in 1987 where she worked as a machinist. Prior to that, she worked as a machinist for McGregor Sportswear. She had also been employed as a sales clerk for Murphy's 5 and 10 and Widmann & Teah Drug Store, both of Clearfield. In addition, she was a cleaning lady in the Clearfield area.
Mrs. Nebgen was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, Clearfield and also was a volunteer for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
She is survived by four children,

Deborah Robinson and husband Tom of Mahaffey
Douglas B. Nebgen of Clearfield
Dennis R. Nebgen of Berwindale
eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren,
four sisters and a brother,
Clara Seaburn of Clearfield
Lois Rowles of Mineral Springs
Kathryn Black of Altoona
Sandy Ogden of Hyde
John Ruffner of West Seneca, NY
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Nebgen on April 5, 1995 and whom she married November 30, 1940 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield, two sons Timothy M. Nebgen and Harold Nebgen and a sister Helen Cutler.
At the request of Mrs. Nebgen, there will be no public visitation or funeral services. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Kerr United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Virginia Eminhizer, 1010 Dorey Street, Clearfield.
