Earla Shiffer

Earla E. Shiffer, 77, of Curwensville passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.

She was born on January 30, 1947 in Dauphin County, a daughter of the late Ivan and Pauline (Lahr) Bingaman.

Mrs. Shiffer was employed as a nurse at Ridgeview Eldercare and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville. Prior to that, she had worked at Target Sportswear for 24 years.

She was a member of the Curwensville Alliance Church.

She is survived by her son, Brandon Bloom and companion Mandy of Grampian; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Pierce, Braxton Pierce, Cayden Pierce, and Shalynne Bloom; a sister, Lorna Smith and husband Larry of Millersburg; two brothers, Harold Bingaman and wife Lois of Millersburg, and Dennis Bingaman and wife Bonnie of South Carolina; a son-in-law, Brian Pierce; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherrie M. Pierce.

Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Curwensville on Tuesday February 13, 2024 at 1 PM with Rev. Stephen D. Shields officiating. Interment will follow in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11 AM - 1 PM.
