Edgar Billotte

Edgar G. "Nick" Billotte, 85 of Woodland died on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at Clearfield Hospital.

He was born on October 11, 1920 in LeContes Mills, a son of the late Nicholas and Alice (Frelin) Billotte.

Mr. Billotte was a coal miner for 45 years. He served in the US Army during World War II and was the recipient of three bronze stars in the African and European Campaigns.

He is survived by his wife, Leatha M. (Woodling) Billotte, whom he wed September 30, 1944 in Bradford Township, a son and a daughter, Ron Billotte and wife Rose of Frenchville, Sandy Bowser and husband Ernest of Woodland; 3 grandchildren, Robert Blake, Melissa Billotte, David Billotte;
4 great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Troxell of Dover, DE.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Ernest Billotte and three sisters Margaret Mignot, Eva Reed and Laverne Michaels.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
10:00 A.M. with Rev. Samuel G. Bungo officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the members of the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and Clearfield VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Wednesday from
9-10:00 AM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health-Hospice, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield or to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 92, Clearfield.
