Edith G. Kifer, 91 of Egypt died on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on January 30, 1917 in Croft, a daughter of the late Elzie and Clarabelle (Holt) Shirey.
Mrs. Kifer retired from the Clearfield Hospital after 27 years of employment.
She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by seven children,

54 Grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren
and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James Cole, on December 17, 1971, her second husband, Ken Kifer, a daughter, Dessie Lee, a son Bob Cole, a granddaughter, a great-great granddaughter, two sisters, Genevieve Cole and Nellie Gillingham and two brothers Blair Shirey and Glenn Shirey.
Funeral services will be held at Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday Oct. 28, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, Oct. 29, from 10-11a.m.
