Edna M. Bell , 91
of Bellefonte died on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on May 13, 1921 in Oakdale Monmouthshire, England, a daughter of the late Reginald and Violet Badham.
Edna was drafted by the British Army and served during WW II. In 1946, she and her husband moved to the United States and soon became American citizens. They first lived in Snow Shoe and later moved to Bellefonte where she was employed by Jack Wilkinson. Edna enjoyed crafts, particularly painting and sewing.
She is survived by her husband Jack C. Bell whom she wed December 15, 1943; a daughter, Sandra Butler of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Jennifer Bell, John Bell, Donald Butler; four great grandchildren, Ryan Butler, David Butler, Kristen Butler, and Lauren Butler; a sister and brother, Sandra and Ralph, both of England.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Bell; a grandson, Michael Butler; and a brother, Jack.
At the request of Mrs. Bell, there will be no public visitation or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 26 S. Second Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
