Edward David Stonebraker Sr., 76
of Curwensville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 12, 2011.
He was born on April 23, 1934 in Clearfield, a son of the late William and Pearl (Condon) Stonebraker. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Alice Wonk.
He married the love of his life, Nancy Palmer on March 27, 1955 in Niagara Falls, NY, who survives along with,
six children, Pam Curry and husband Barry, Ed Stonebraker, Jr. and wife Lynette, Deb Frailey and husband Dennis, Bruce Stonebraker and wife Cheryl, Diane Zimmerman and husband Pete, Sandy Solomon and husband Rob,
16 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren,
and a sister, Margaret Haney.
After 30 years of service, Ed retried from Thompson and Buck as an appliance repairman.
He was active in many area churches and served as Sunday School Superintendent, choir member, Sunday School teacher and deacon. He was also active in the community.
He loved spending time with his family. His hobbies were playing horseshoes, fishing, bowling and gardening.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Saturday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Bruce Stonebraker officiating. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Curwensville.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8:00 PM and on Saturday from
10-11:00 AM.
