Elaine Hope Dallen, 66, of Clearfield, died on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at her residence.
She was born on February 8, 1940 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late George Henry and Ida Mae (Baney) Dixon.
Mrs. Dallen retired from the Clearfield Area School district in 2005 after 24 years of service. She had previously been employed with Athens Area School District, Athens, PA.
She was a member of the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Ida Hope Lively and husband Mark of Port Matilda, a grandson, Paul James Shan; a brother and sister, Richard Dixon and wife Carroll, and Edna Whitesell, all of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Kyle Lee Dixon and sisters, Delores Leigey, Gladys Rollin and Marion Walker.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Virginia Eminhizer officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-9:00 PM and on Friday from 10-11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, c/o Virginia Eminhizer, 1010 Dorey Street, Clearfield, PA or to American Cancer Society, 119 East Market Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
