Electa Cleaver

Electa Mae Cleaver, 84

of 62 N. Sixth Street, Grampian, died on Friday, February 13, 2004 at Clearfield Hospital.

She was born on January 10, 1920 in Hepburnia, a daughter of the late John Henderson and Myrtle Vida (Wriglesworth) Curry.

Mrs. Cleaver was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, where she taught the young adult Sunday school class for over 50 years. She held various offices as a member of the Clearfield Chapter #379 Order of the Eastern Star and had served as Past Worthy Matron. Mrs. Cleaver was a 1938 graduate of Curwensville High School and member of the Hepburnia Friendship Club.

She is survived by four children,

Linda R. Linn and husband Keith Lock Haven
Sherrie L. Kitko and husband David Noblesville, IN

thirteen grandchildren,
Laura Vickerman, Daniel and Spencer Irwin, Aaron, Leslie, and Traci Cleaver, Lisa, Lucinda, Lance,
and Ryan Neeper, Autumn, Adam, and Jesse Kitko

seven great-grandchildren,

three sisters and a brother,
Pearl McFadden
Lex Curry and wife Roxie
Helen Addleman
Ruth Curry all of Curwensville

two sisters in-law,
Elizabeth “Betty” Curry Titusville, FL
Sara Ann Cleaver Grampian

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thornton J. Cleaver, on September 10, 1984 and whom she married November 3, 1940 in Hepburnia, a great-granddaughter Alexia Rose Cleaver and three brothers, Charles Curry, Ralph Curry and Raymond Curry.

Funeral services will be held at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Sixth Street, Grampian on Wednesday at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Emmett Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Friends Cemetery, Grampian.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Curwensville on Tuesday from 2-4:00 and 6-8:00 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, Sixth Street, Grampian, PA 16838.
