Elizabeth M. Creech, 90, formerly of Woodland and most recently a resident of Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield died on Wednesday, July 19, 2006 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on January 17, 1916 in Dale, Woodland, PA, a daughter of the late Charles and Agatha (English) Mencer.
Mrs. Creech lived in Detroit and Florida before returning to the local area. She was a homemaker and caretaker for local residents.
She was a member of the Wesleyan Faith Holiness Church.
She is survived by a son, Rev. Russell L. Mencer and wife Frances of Woodland; two grandchildren, Karen Evans and husband Rex of Harrington, DE, and David Mencer and wife Karen, of Woodland, 4 great-granddaughters, a sister, Vivian Wallace and husband George of Dale, Woodland; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Creech, a sister Vera Bumbarger and a brother Andrew Mencer.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Friday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Dewey M. Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM 1:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
