Elizabeth Jane Woolridge-Lee (Betsy), 80

of State College died on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.

She was born on January 6, 1924 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Dr. J. Hayes and
Elizabeth (Mitchell) Woolridge, Sr.

She attended Clearfield Area Schools, the Mary Lyons School, the Pine Manor School and the Philadelphia Museum School of Art.

While living in Clearfield, Mrs. Lee was a member of the Children's Aid Society, the Clearfield Hospital Auxiliary and the Clearfield Curwensville Country Club where she was a former Club Champion. She was a former member of the Presbyterian Church, Clearfield and the Trinity United Methodist Church.

Since 1975 she had lived in State College where she was a member of the Toftrees Country Club, the Art Alliance of State College and a volunteer with elections.

A gifted portrait artist Betsy continued to study throughout her life.

She is survived by four children,
Anna-Vaughan Lee Kepner and husband Robert M. Williamsport, MD
Eugenia Mitchell Lee Bethesda, MD
Elizabeth Jane Lee Diamond Point, NY
Joseph J. Lee, Jr. and wife Mary H. Dillsburg

four grandchildren,
Jon Gunter Kepner, Ezra S. Lee, Elijah H. Lee, and Jenica J. Lee

and two great-grandchildren,
Shelby Nicole Kepner and Shane Michael Kepner

She was formerly married to Joseph S. Lee who preceded her in death, along with her parents and her brother Dr. J. Hayes Woolridge, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with
Dr. Douglas S. Pride officiating.

Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, on Sunday from 4-7:00 PM.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Children's Aid Society, 1008 S. Second Street, Clearfield or to the charity of one's choice.
