Elsie W. Peoples, 85
formerly of Clearfield and most recently of the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield died on Monday, January 5, 2004 at the center.
She was born on September 24, 1918 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Lee and Genevieve (Whitesel) Peoples.
Miss Peoples was employed at the former Clear-Don Manufacturing Co. and McGregor Sportswear until her retirement in 1982. She was a member of the Pine Grove Bethel Church and served as secretary of the AFL-CIO Amalgamated Union.
She is survived by two sisters and a brother,

and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Broad and Velma Haney and three brothers, Darl Peoples, Clifford Peoples and Wendell Peoples.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Michael G. Trimmer officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, RD#3, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 - 11:00 AM
