Elva E. Martell, 87
of LeContes Mills died on Thursday, April 14, 2005 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on August 19, 1917 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late John and Ella (Jury) Weimer.
Mrs. Martell was a homemaker and was previously employed at the Clearfield Hospital. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Frenchville.
She is survived by four children,
Ella J. Fulmer of Clearfield, Mary L. Harzinski of Clearfield,
Jim Martell and wife Kay of Clearfield and Kenneth P. Martell and wife Nancy of Brookville; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren and 2 nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard M. Martell on September 28, 1996 and whom she married March 15, 1935 in Cumberland, MD, one great grandson, one sister and four brothers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville on Monday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Samuel G. Bungo as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Monday from 9-10:00 AM.
A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 8:30 PM.
