Emily J. Bailey, 83, of Curwensville, formerly of Woodland and Hyde, died on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center, Curwensville.
She was born on February 22, 1930 in Eau Claire, WI, a daughter of the late Douglas H. and Ruth Blanche (Teare) Woodworth.
Mrs. Bailey was employed as a dental assistant for fifteen years in Temple Hills, MD.
She was a member of Lake Street United Methodist Church of Woodland, the National Audubon Society, the Nature Conservancy, the National Wildlife Federation, the Arbor Day Foundation and the American Chestnut Foundation.
She is survived by two children, Barbara Cronin of Woodland and Robert Scott Bailey and wife Paula of Prince Frederick, MD; and three grandchildren, Sean, Nathan and Steven Bailey.
A memorial service will be held at the Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland on Wednesday at 11 AM with Pastor Sean Patrick Smith officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Nature Conservancy, 4245 North Fairfax Drive, Suite 100, Arlington, VA 22203-1606.
