Emily Claire Gormont, 98
formerly of Frenchville and 411 Park Avenue, Clearfield died on Saturday, November 1, 2003 at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on October 30, 1905 in Frenchville, a daughter of the late Frank and Helen (Mignot) Gormont.
Ms. Gormont was retired from the nursing department at the Clearfield Hospital.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by a daughter,
Rita Keith and husband Edmund Jersey Shore
5 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren,
a sister,
Kathleen Cuetera Clearfield
with whom she lived for the past ten years
and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers William Gormont, Sr. and Charles Gormont.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee, Jr. as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary's Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday from
6 - 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9-9:30 AM
On Monday at the funeral home, a Christian Vigil service will be said at 5:45 PM and the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Francis Educational Endowment Fund, 212 S. Front Street, Clearfield.
