Erma R. Beauseigneur, 94, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
A daughter of the late Voyle L. and Lena (Koozer) Taylor, she was born in Goshen on August 31, 1912 and would have celebrated her 95th birthday next week.
Mrs. Beauseigneur served as secretary on the Girard Township Board of Supervisors. She retired in 1987 as a cook from the Clearfield Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks Lodge #540.
She was an active member of St. Marys Catholic Church, Frenchville.
She served on various organizations in the community, including the Girard Township Election Board.
A member of the Clearfield County Conservation Office, she was instrumental in starting the 4-H clubs in the area.
She is survived by three children, Keith Beauseigneur and his wife, Helen, of Morrisdale, RD, Leona Davis of Frenchville and Ann Lansberry and her husband, Doyle, of Reynoldsville; seven grandchildren, Kevin Beauseigneur, Greg Beauseigneur, Mark Beauseigneur, Jennifer Mohney, Doyle Lansberry III, Douglas Lansberry and Daniel Lansberry; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a brother, David Taylor and his wife, Irene, of St. Louis, MO; a sister-in-law, Peggy Taylor of Clearfield; a brother-in-law, William Daisher of Clearfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hobart H. Beauseigneur on June 29, 1970 and whom she wed January 2, 1933 in St. Marys Rectory, Frenchville; a son-in-law, John Davis; five brothers and one sister.
Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. Mary Catholic Church, Frenchville on Friday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Samuel G. Bungo as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery, Frenchville.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. and at the church on Friday from 10-11 a.m.
A Christian Vigil Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday
at 2:45 p.m.
