Jay Lucas, 66, of Curwensville died on September 19, 2022 at his sister's home in Grampian.
He was born on August 14, 1956 in Clearfield, a son of Thelma J. (Anderson) Lucas of Grampian and the late Arthur N. Lucas.
Jay was a self-employed general contractor. He also enjoyed raising a vegetable garden and coin collecting. Jay always enjoyed helping people, whether it was cutting firewood for others or just lending a helping hand when able. He was a member of Faith Bible Church, Curwensville.
In addition to his mother Thelma Lucas of Grampian, he is survived by his wife, Anna M. (Reyburn) Lucas of Curwensville; four children, Julie Wells and husband Randy of Luthersburg, Alan Lucas and companion Paula of Sykesville, Adam Lucas and wife Jessie of Luthersburg, and Zach of Beaver; a step daughter, Tina Soukup of SC; four grandchildren, Levi Wells, Payton Wells, Brenna Soukup, Christa Soukup; two sisters, Cheryl Jo Stonebraker and husband Bruce of Grampian, and Rhonda Jane Lucas of Grampian; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rita June Lucas.
A memorial service will be held at the Faith Bible Church, Lumber City on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2 PM with Pastor Scott Schultz officiating.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Faith Bible Church, 398 Grandview Road, Curwensville, PA 16833.
