Esther E. Brown,
of 334 Carbide Road, Curwensville died on Thursday, February 13, 2003 at her residence.
She was born in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Ward Read and Bessie (Watson) Read Mitchell.
Mrs. Brown was employed at the former Clearfield Cheese Company and also worked for Norm's Salt Water Taffy Stand at the Clearfield County Fair for 17 years.
She was Lutheran by faith, an animal lover and enjoyed putting puzzles together.
She is survived by three children,
Deborah Brauneis and husband John Sanborn, NY
Vickie Gilmour and husband George Jr. Lawrenceville, PA
Lloyd Brian Brown with whom she resided in Curwensville
2 grandchildren,
Ashley Brown
John Brauneis and wife Glenda
2 great grandsons,
Kane and Skyler Brauneis
a sister,
Barbara Schubert Niagara Falls, NY
an aunt,
Helen Carter Clearfield
and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, Boyd Mitchell and a brother Ward Read, Jr.
A gathering of family and friends will take place at the home of Esther and Brian Brown, 334 Carbide Road, Curwensville on Saturday from 2 - 5:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice, PO Box 992, Clearfield PA 16830.
