Eugene L. "Gene" Heichel, 77

of 126 Donahue Road, Luthersburg died on Thursday, July 8, 2004 at DuBois Regional Medical Center - West.

He was born on May 5, 1927 in Clearfield, a son of the late Clyde and Lavina (Moore) Heichel.

Mr. Heichel was employed by International Paper Company, North Tonawanda, NY and was the owner of Otto Grocery Store, Otto, NY, until 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth I. Donahue Kupko Heichel, whom he married February 27, 1957 in North Tonawanda, NY

Nina Reed all of Clearfield

a brother in law
Isaac Showden New Bethlehem

and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers and sisters Oliver, Maurice, Gerald and Carl Heichel, Inez Hertlin, Frieda Kelly, Edra Maliza, and Ruth Showden.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday at
11:00 A.M. with Dr. Duane A. White and Rev. Randy Freeman officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and on Monday from 10-11:00 AM. F.O.E. memorial service will be held on Sunday at 7:00 PM at the funeral home.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to charity of one's choice.
