Eva Jene Gearhart, 83 of Clearfield died on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on January 15, 1926 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late William M. and Lena (Biesh) Mohney, Sr.
Mrs. Gearhart was employed for Bell Telephone in the traffic department before retiring in 1974.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and most recently West Side United Methodist Church, both of Clearfield.
She is survived by two children, Bonnie Jean Hubert and husband Terry of Washoe Valley, NV and Leonard A. 'Sonnie' Gearhart and wife Linda of Reynoldsville;
five grandchildren, Tulley, Galen, Matthew, Trevor, Cory; two great granddaughters, Abbigayle Jean, Kayla Ann; two brothers, Bernard L. Mohney of Indiana and Larry B. Mohney of Clearfield; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard A. Gearhart, Jr. on April 18, 2003 and whom she married July 17, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD and a brother William M. Mohney, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Tuesday at
11:00 A.M. with Rev. Rodger J. Gorton officiating. Interment will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8:00 PM and on Tuesday from
10 -11:00 AM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to West Side United Methodist Church, 317 Nichols Street, Clearfield.
