Floyd Rowles

Floyd W. 'Butch' Rowles, 80, of Olanta died on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.

He was born on November 16, 1941 in Curwensville, a son of the late Hildred and Doris (Borger) Rowles.

Butch was a lineman and general foreman with IBEW Local 126.

He enjoyed barbecuing and spending time with his grandson, Renson.

He was a member of Curwensville VFW Post 842, and Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie No. 812.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy M. (Thurston) Rowles whom he wed March 10, 1973 in Winchester, VA; his son, Corey Rowles of Kerrmoor; a grandson, Renson Russell Rowles; two sons he held in his heart, James Rowles of Frenchville, and Dan Rowles of Frenchville; two brothers, Hildred Rowles of Curwensville, and Kevin Rowles of Eden, NC; and two sisters, Vonda Poole of Clearfield, and Colleen Fuleno of New Castle.

Honoring Mr Rowles's wishes, there will be no public services. Interment will be in the Bloomington Cemetery, Curwensville.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Orphans of the Storm, 223 Hill Street, Curwensville, PA 16833; American Lung Association, PO box 756, Osceola, WI 54020-0756; or Bloomington Cemetery Association, 262 Carbide Road, Curwensville, PA 16833.
