Frances L. Hurley, 95
of E. Cherry Street, Clearfield died on Friday, January 9, 2004 at Clearfield Hospital.
She was born on November 18, 1908 in Elk County, PA, a daughter of the late James and Olive (Logue) Hurley.
A 1931 graduate of Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital in Elmira, NY, Miss Hurley was employed by the Clearfield County Tuberculosis Society and the PA Department of Health. She retired from the social service staff of the Clearfield County Board of Assistance, where she was employed for 27 years.
She attended the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield, was an active member of the Clearfield-Jefferson Mental Health Society and a board member of the Clearfield County Cancer Society.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Wolf Run, Clearfield on Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. with Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will follow in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde.
Friends will be received at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Monday, January 19, 2004 from 6 8:00 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 45 Alliance Road, Clearfield.
