Frank W. Long, 83
of Legion Road, Clearfield died on Sunday, December 7, 2003 at Clearfield Hospital.
He was born on August 24, 1920 in Clearfield, PA, a son of the late Dean R. and Francis (Shaw) Long Sr.
Mr. Long retired from Penelec in 1982 as the chief service man following 34 years of service.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He was a charter member of the Keystone Travel Trailer Club, a member of the Free and Accepted Masons Clearfield Lodge #314, the Valley of Coudersport Consistory as a 32nd degree Mason and a life member of the Clearfield Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge # 540.
A veteran of the US Army, he served during WW II and was a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post # 6, the F. Michael Sicks Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1785 of Clearfield and the 190th Field Artillery Group Association of Sunbury, PA.
He is survived by his wife, Celestia (Williams) Long, whom he married May 2, 1942 in Hagerstown, MD

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother Flora V. Long, a granddaughter Jeannie Long, a sister Caroline Broderick, a half sister Margaret Jean Wenninger, and a brother Dean R. Long, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Wednesday at
1:00 P.M. with Rev. Rodger J. Gorton officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland.
Military honors will be accorded at the funeral home by the members of the Clearfield American Legion and VFW Post.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM and on Wednesday from
Noon -1 PM
