Frederick W. Aughenbaugh, 91 of Clearfield died on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Clearfield Hospital.

He was born on November 7, 1915 in Woodland, a son of the late Ernest A. and Effie (Ross) Aughenbaugh. Mr. Aughenbaugh was employed by Shawville Coal Co. and Bradford Coal Co. He was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield and the Old Town Sportsman’s Club.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Shugerts) Aughenbaugh, whom he wed July 19, 1938 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Clearfield.

He is survived by Seven children, Florence Faulkner of Hyde, Donna Wilson and husband Bert of Bradford, Gail Morgan and husband James of Pittsburgh, Fred Aughenbaugh of Curwensville, Loretta Dixon and companion Michael Maines of Hyde, Barb Musser and husband John of Philipsburg, Steven Aughenbaugh and companion Dawna Henry of Clearfield, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren, two sisters, Ruth Welch of Clearfield, and Virginia Smith and husband Eugene of Indiana, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Donald Faulkner, a daughter-in-law, Patty Aughenbaugh, three brothers Leroy, Raymond and Kenneth Aughenbaugh and a sister Betty Renner.

Funeral services will be held at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jerry Hunter & Dr. Duane A. White officiating. Interment will follow in the Eden Cemetery, Shawville, RD.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10-11:00 AM

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Christian & Missionary Alliance Church, 45 Alliance Road, Clearfield PA 16830.
