Fredrick Dennis Lanich, 77, of Clearfield, passed away on Sunday, June 18, 2023 at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Born September 23, 1946, in Clearfield PA, the second youngest child of Joseph B Lanich and Agnes E (Lansberry) Lanich.
Fredrick was a graduate of Clearfield High School.
Fredrick served two tours in the United States Army. After completing his time in the Army, he served as an EMS and Volunteer firefighter at Station 5 of Clearfield County.
Fredrick enjoyed the outdoors greatly. He enjoyed long weekend stays at his son’s camp, along with ATV riding. He was an avid hunter and fisher. He had a love for animals, especially dogs.
Fredrick is survived by a son, Fredrick J Lanich of Madera along with his children, Myranda Queen of McConnellsburg, Jarrett Lanich, and Teryn Lanich of Sandy Ridge; a son Eric Lanich and fiance Daylnn Fasig of Windsor, and their children Brittney Klinedinst, Nate Lanich; three great grandchildren, Bryson Bedwell, Jaxten LoPresti and Everly Lanich; an older brother, Walter “Bud” Lanich of Mt Airy, MD; a younger brother, Paul “Foot” Lanich of Clearfield; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death an older brother, Charles "Sam" Lanich of Curwensville; older sister, Josephine Mahlon of Clearfield, older sister Dorothy Walk of St. Augustine, Florida; older sister Betty McLaughlin of Clearfield, and older sister Donna Modzel of Dunedin, Florida.
A celebration of Life will be held for family and friends Saturday June 24, 2023 starting at 2 p.m. Location: 555 Pardee RD, Morrisdale PA 16858, family asks that you bring a covered dish and chairs. Questions regarding celebration of life please call/text 814-762-5229.
