Genevieve 'Jean' Young

Genevieve 'Jean' R. Young, 90, of Clearfield died on Friday, February 17, 2023 at the Penn Highlands Clearfield.
She was born on May 13, 1932 in Clearfield, a daughter of the late Samuel and Carmella (Giuffre) Toto.
Mrs. Young was a homemaker. She had a passion for cooking and baking.
She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield.
She is survived by her daughters, Lark McKeown and husband Mike of Curwensville, Janice Ford and husband Tyrone of Clearfield, and Paula Collins and husband Jason of Curwensville; two step sons, Barry Young and wife Nancy of Westover, and Emerson Young and wife Vicki of Chicago, IL; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Toto and wife Honey of State College, and John Toto and wife Anna Marie of Clearfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles 'Chick' E. Young on January 4, 2011 and whom she wed July 24, 1957 in Cumberland, MD. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons; a step son, Daniel Young; two sisters, Sandora M. Young, and Josephine Pasquariello; and a brother, Santo R. Toto.
A Memorial Mass will be said at the St. Francis Catholic Church, Clearfield on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 10 AM with Fr. Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Monday, February 20, 2023 from 4-7 PM.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Francis School, 230 S. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830; or to LIFE-NWPA of Clearfield, 103 N. Front Street, Clearfield, PA 16830.
