George M. Dimeling, Jr.,
of Clearfield died on Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at his residence.
He was born on September 15, 1914 in Clearfield, PA, a son of the late George M. and Mary (Wrigley) Dimeling, Sr.
He was a 1932 graduate of Culver Military Academy and a 1936 graduate of Cornell University. Mr. Dimeling served in the US Navy during WW II as a lieutenant junior grade.
He owned and operated insurance agencies in Clearfield from 1946 to 1981.
For many years he served on the board of the Clearfield Chamber of Commerce and as its chairman. He also served on the board of the Clearfield Trust Company.
He is survived by four children,

eight grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Florence (Bigler) Dimeling, a son William R. Dimeling, and two sisters Catherine Dimeling Stewart and Dorothy Dimeling Johnson.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family and interment will be in the Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde. There will be no public visitation.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Foundation for Health - Hospice , PO Box 992, Clearfield PA 16830 or Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library , 6 S. Front Street, Clearfield PA 16830.
